Art Lovers Australia Salon Exhibition – Finalist

In November 2024, symbolic artist Kerry-Anne Knibbs was selected as a finalist in the Art Lovers Australia Salon Exhibition held at the Collingwood Gallery in Melbourne, Victoria.
The Salon Exhibition celebrated featured artists represented by Art Lovers Australia, showcasing a professionally curated selection of contemporary artworks within the gallery setting.
Kerry-Anne’s featured artworks explored the symbolism of Australian native birds, including the Black Cockatoo, set against dramatic pink skies. Inspired by the familiar saying “pink sky at night, shepherd’s delight,” the works invite viewers to consider the signs, patterns and symbols found in nature, and the ways these observations have historically offered guidance, reflection and meaning.
The Black Cockatoo holds a special place in Kerry-Anne’s symbolic practice. Often associated in her artwork with messages, transformation and connections between worlds, this rare and beautiful Australian bird represents a powerful presence within Australian culture and the natural landscape.
