Eating Hay – by Kerry-Anne Knibbs  Hello, and thank you for taking a closer look!

Birds are my personal symbolic language, used to express higher spiritual meaning. In Feng Shui, artwork is one of eight essential tools used to attract positive energy, intention, and balance into a space.

This piece features nine pink galahs, gathered peacefully as they feast on golden hay. The number nine in numerology and Feng Shui represents innovation, growth, transformation, and joyful change — all qualities this work is intended to invoke.

The galah, spiritually, is a symbol of freedom, light-heartedness, and empowerment. Their soft pink feathers connect to the fire element in Feng Shui, though here it’s expressed gently — more like the glow of a candle, bringing warmth, intimacy, and emotional connection.

The title, Eating Hay While the Sun Shines, is both a proverb and a gentle reminder: to make the most of life’s opportunities, and to savour the present moment. When we bask in joy and contentment, we invite more of that same energy into our lives.

This artwork radiates playfulness, optimism, and gentle strength — a perfect piece for anyone wanting to uplift their space with spiritual depth and cheerful symbolism.
