Mercury - Imagine Series

Mercury is part of the Imagine series, inspired by the celestial planets, sacred geometry, and esoteric traditions including Hermetic philosophy, Mysticism, and Theosophy. Read more in my book called Imagine.

Drawing on the classical symbolism associated with the planet Mercury — the mind, intellect, perception, communication, and consciousness — the work reflects the relationship between thought, awareness, and universal energy.

At the centre of the composition is the Merkaba, a sacred geometric form often interpreted as Mer (Light), Ka (Spirit), and Ba (Body), symbolising the connection between mind, spirit, and physical existence. Six hummingbirds move throughout the composition, corresponding to the six points of the star within the Merkaba. Traditionally associated with energy, perception, adaptability, and heightened awareness, the hummingbird reflects the Mercurial qualities of movement, curiosity, intelligence, and mental agility.

With its luminous, atmospheric quality, Mercury brings a contemplative and imaginative presence into the home, inviting reflection on the symbolic relationship between mind, consciousness, and the cosmos.
