The Moon - Imagine Series

The Moon is part of the Imagine series, inspired by an exploration of celestial symbolism, sacred geometry, and esoteric traditions including Hermetic philosophy, Mysticism, and Theosophy. Read more in my book called Imagine.

Drawing on the classical symbolism associated with the Moon — intuition, the subconscious, cycles, emotion, reflection, and the feminine mysteries — the work reflects the relationship between inner consciousness, nature, and universal rhythm.

Rich with symbolism, the composition incorporates the Golden Ratio, or Phi, long associated with the harmony of nature and the cosmos. Combined with crescent Moon symbolism and the number 13 — linked to lunar cycles, transformation, and the sacred feminine — the work reflects ancient understandings of the Moon as a force governing rhythm, renewal, and intuition.

A majestic white peacock, frozen in a moment of time with its tail fanned in glory, symbolises spiritual awareness, transformation, beauty, and inner vision. In Western esotericism and alchemy, both the Moon and the white peacock symbolise the Albedo — the purification of the soul and the reflection of divine light back into the world following transformation.

With its luminous, atmospheric quality, The Moon brings a contemplative and introspective presence into the home, inviting reflection on the symbolic relationship between intuition, transformation, and the cosmos.
