The Tarot Set - Imagine Series

The Tarot works within the Imagine series — The Lovers, The Tower, The Emperor, and The Star — are inspired by a deep exploration of symbolism, archetypes, and spiritual philosophy. Influenced by traditions including Mysticism, Theosophy, Anthroposophy, and the symbolic teachings explored by Rudolf Steiner, the works reflect the Tarot as a visual language of transformation and human experience.

Steiner spoke of the ancient Egyptian Book of Thoth and the symbolic system of seventy-eight archetypes echoed through the Tarot — a sequence representing the journey of human experience from beginning to end. While Tarot later evolved into a popular card game among European high society, its symbolic imagery continued to inspire artists, mystics, and philosophers across generations.

By the early twentieth century, Tarot imagery experienced a major artistic revival, evolving from traditional playing card designs into richly symbolic visual art. Artists such as Salvador Dalí reimagined the Tarot through surrealism and dream imagery, while Niki de Saint Phalle transformed the Major Arcana into monumental sculptural environments through her Tarot Garden in Tuscany.

The Tarot may be one of the earliest examples of symbolic visual culture evolving into a widely shared artistic language — continually reinterpreted through fine art, popular culture, independent publishing, and contemporary design.

Within the Imagine series, these four Tarot archetypes become reflections on love, transformation, authority, healing, and inner awakening, inviting the viewer to reflect on the symbolic relationship between human experience, consciousness, and the imagination.
